Rogers County Privacy Notice

This notice describes information handled when someone visits Rogers County Released Inmates, uses an embedded search tool, or sends a message. It also explains why data may be used, which outside services may receive it, and the choices available to users.

Information You Submit

A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party company that operates that tool. We do not store or log those search terms on our own systems. The provider's privacy terms apply to its collection and processing.

If you send an email or contact-form message, we retain the message and contact details long enough to respond and manage the exchange. We do not share that correspondence outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Automatic Technical Information

Routine web logs and analytics may collect technical details when a page loads. Those details can include:

  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser name and version
  • Device type and operating system
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them
  • The referring site, when supplied
  • Date and time stamps

Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can refuse or remove cookies, although some functions may then work in a different way.

Reasons We Use Data

Collected information supports a limited set of operating needs:

  • Keeping pages available and responsive
  • Sending a search request to the selected partner
  • Understanding which Rogers County resources are useful
  • Finding errors and resolving technical problems
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect user interests

Links Beyond Our Control

Pages link to Rogers County release records, Sheriff Scott Walton's office, the Amos G. Ward Detention Center, ODOC resources, government portals, and outside search tools. Once a user follows one of those links, the destination's own privacy policy controls.

Some advertising providers may measure activity across more than one website to select ads. That processing occurs in their systems, subject to their terms, rather than in the official Rogers County or Oklahoma record systems described here.

Parties That May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may be disclosed only as needed to the following recipients:

  • Search partners that process submitted queries
  • Analytics providers that measure site use
  • Advertising networks that serve ads
  • Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order

How Data Is Protected

We use standard safeguards suited to a public website and limit information to operational needs. No service connected to the internet can promise perfect security, however. We do not claim that our systems are immune from intrusion, loss, or misuse.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may contact us and request its deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and verification, a user may:

  • Ask for a copy of personal data we hold
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of eligible data
  • Object to or opt out of certain processing

These requests concern data controlled by this private site. Official jail, court, and ODOC records are governed by their custodians and Oklahoma law, including the Oklahoma Open Records Act, 51 O.S. ยงยง24A.1 through 24A.34.

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this privacy notice as services, legal duties, or data practices change. A revised version will appear here with an updated effective date.
